Memorial Day 2026: A Message of Comfort for the Families of the Fallen

Words of Consolation for the Families:

On this Memorial Day, we honor with deep respect and gratitude all the men and women who gave their lives in service to the nation.

To all the families who today carry in your hearts the heavy weight of an irreplaceable absence:

Your loved ones — men and women of every rank, from the Army, Navy, and Air Force — did not depart in vain. Their bravery and sacrifice continue to protect the freedom we enjoy today.

Though they are no longer physically with us, they remain alive in every military salute, in every flag that waves, and in the eternal memory of a grateful nation. May you feel their presence between heaven and earth, watching over you with the same love and honor with which they served.

May the pride in their legacy be stronger than the pain, and may you find comfort in the beautiful memories you shared.

We will never forget them.

Today and always, an entire nation stands with you in silent gratitude.

May God grant you peace, strength, and comfort on this very special day. 🇺🇸❤️

As a daughter of this nation who deeply respects those who served, I want to send this embrace to every family that carries this sacred pain today.

From the Torah – Deuteronomy 20:1-4

On this Memorial Day, we also remember these powerful words from the Torah:

When you go out to war against your enemies… do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God… is with you.

Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

Your loved ones were not alone in battle. God was with them, and today they are protected in His eternal presence.

May we all live with gratitude for their sacrifice and with compassion for those who remain behind.

With love and respect,

Rita Sibbick
