Este Shabbat es Shabbat Mevarchim (“El Shabbat que bendice el nuevo mes): se recita una oración especial y suplica a D-s para bendecir a Rosh Chodesh (“Cabeza de Mes”) –  Shevat.

“Que renueve…para siempre y para siempre. Paz, por alegría y por alegría, por liberación y por consuelo”.

Según la enseñanza jasídica, la bendición del mes evoca el flujo de sustento y energía espiritual para el próximo mes. 

Se recita todo el libro de Los Salmos antes de las oraciones de la mañana.

The last Shabbat of each month — which can be any day from 23rd of the month to the 29th — is Shabbat Mevarchim HaChodesh, “the Shabbat that blesses the month.”
On this Shabbat, a special prayer is recited which names the coming month, identifies the day (or days) of its Rosh Chodesh (“head of the month”) and beseeches G‑d to “renew it… for life and for peace, for gladness and for joy, for deliverance and for consolation.” According to Chassidic teaching, the “blessing of the month” evokes the flow of sustenance and spiritual energy for the coming month.
Thus, the closing days of each month are a unique phenomenon — a juncture in the terrain of time in which two time-qualities overlap.

25So says the Lord God: When I gather in the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they have been scattered, and I have been sanctified through them in the eyes of the nations, then shall they dwell on their land that I gave to My servant, to Jacob. כהכֹּֽה־אָמַר֘ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִה֒ בְּקַבְּצִ֣י | אֶת־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מִן־הָֽעַמִּים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָפֹ֣צוּ בָ֔ם וְנִקְדַּ֥שְׁתִּי בָ֖ם לְעֵינֵ֣י הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְיָֽשְׁבוּ֙ עַל־אַדְמָתָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לְעַבְדִּ֥י לְיַֽעֲקֹֽב:
26And they shall dwell upon it securely, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards and dwell securely when I execute judgments against all those who plunder them from all around them, and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.” כווְיָֽשְׁב֣וּ עָלֶיהָ֘ לָבֶטַח֒ וּבָנ֚וּ בָתִּים֙ וְנָֽטְע֣וּ כְרָמִ֔ים וְיָֽשְׁב֖וּ לָבֶ֑טַח בַּֽעֲשׂוֹתִ֣י שְׁפָטִ֗ים בְּכֹ֨ל הַשָּׁאטִ֚ים אֹתָם֙ מִסְּבִ֣יבֹתָ֔ם וְיָ֣דְע֔וּ כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶֽם:

Yechezkel – Ezekiel – Chapter 29

1In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], on the twelfth of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying: אבַּשָּׁנָה֙ הָֽעֲשִׂרִ֔ית בָּֽעֲשִׂרִ֕י בִּשְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָׂ֖ר לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ הָיָ֥ה דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר:
2“Son of man! Set your face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt. בבֶּן־אָדָ֕ם שִׂ֣ים פָּנֶ֔יךָ עַל־פַּרְעֹ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְהִנָּבֵ֣א עָלָ֔יו וְעַל־מִצְרַ֖יִם כֻּלָּֽהּ:
3Speak and you shall say; So says the Lord God: Behold I am upon you, O Pharaoh, king of Egypt, the great crocodile that lies down in the midst of its rivers, who said, “My river is my own, and I made myself.” גדַּבֵּ֨ר וְאָמַרְתָּ֜ כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר | אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֗ה הִֽנְנִ֚י עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ פַּרְעֹ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֔יִם הַתַּנִּים֙ הַגָּד֔וֹל הָֽרֹבֵ֖ץ בְּת֣וֹךְ יְאֹרָ֑יו אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָמַ֛ר לִ֥י יְאֹרִ֖י וַֽאֲנִ֥י עֲשִׂיתִֽנִי:
4And I will put hooks in your jaws and I will cause the fish of your rivers to fasten onto your scales, and I will drag you up out of the midst of your rivers and all the fish of your rivers shall stick to your scales. דוְנָתַתִּ֚י חַחִים֙ (כתיב חַחִיים֙) בִּלְחָיֶ֔יךָ וְהִדְבַּקְתִּ֥י דְגַת־יְאֹרֶ֖יךָ בְּקַשְׂקְשֹׂתֶ֑יךָ וְהַֽעֲלִיתִ֙יךָ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ יְאֹרֶ֔יךָ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־דְּגַ֣ת יְאֹרֶ֔יךָ בְּקַשְׂקְשֹׂתֶֽיךָ תִּדְבָּֽק:
5And I will scatter you in the desert, you and all the fish of your rivers; upon the open fields shall you fall-you shall not be brought home, nor gathered together; to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the air have I given you to be devoured. הוּנְטַשְׁתִּ֣יךָ הַמִּדְבָּ֗רָה אֽוֹתְךָ֙ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־דְּגַ֣ת יְאֹרֶ֔יךָ עַל־פְּנֵ֚י הַשָּׂדֶה֙ תִּפּ֔וֹל לֹ֥א תֵֽאָסֵ֖ף וְלֹ֣א תִקָּבֵ֑ץ לְחַיַּ֥ת הָאָ֛רֶץ וּלְע֥וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם נְתַתִּ֥יךָ לְאָכְלָֽה:
6And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord, because they have been a prop of reeds to the house of Israel. ווְיָֽדְעוּ֙ כָּל־יֹֽשְׁבֵ֣י מִצְרַ֔יִם כִּ֖י אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה יַ֧עַן הֱיוֹתָ֛ם מִשְׁעֶ֥נֶת קָנֶ֖ה לְבֵ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל:
7When they took hold of you with the hand, you splintered and pierced the whole of their shoulders, and when they leaned upon you, you broke, and you made all their loins stand upright. זבְּתָפְשָׂ֨ם בְּךָ֚ בַכַּף֙ (כתיב בַכַּפ֙ך) תֵּר֔וֹץ וּבָֽקַעְתָּ֥ לָהֶ֖ם כָּל־כָּתֵ֑ף וּבְהִשָּֽׁעֲנָ֚ם עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ תִּשָּׁבֵ֔ר וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֥ לָהֶ֖ם כָּל־מָתְנָֽיִם:
8Therefore, so says the Lord God: Behold I will bring the sword over you, and I will cut off from you man and beast. חלָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֛י מֵבִ֥יא עָלַ֖יִךְ חָ֑רֶב וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֵּ֖ךְ אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה:
9And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and in ruins, and they shall know that I am the Lord! Because he said, “The river is mine, and I have made it.” טוְהָֽיְתָ֚ה אֶֽרֶץ־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ לִשְׁמָמָ֣ה וְחָרְבָּ֔ה וְיָֽדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה יַ֧עַן אָמַ֛ר יְאֹ֥ר לִ֖י וַֽאֲנִ֥י עָשִֽׂיתִי:
10Therefore, behold I am against you and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt into ruins, ruins of desolation from Migdol till Syene and until the border of Ethiopia. ילָכֵ֛ן הִֽנְנִ֥י אֵלֶ֖יךָ וְאֶל־יְאֹרֶ֑יךָ וְנָֽתַתִּ֞י אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֗יִם לְחָרְבוֹת֙ חֹ֣רֶב שְׁמָמָ֔ה מִמִּגְדֹּ֥ל סְוֵנֵ֖ה וְעַד־גְּב֥וּל כּֽוּשׁ:
11No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited for forty years. יאלֹ֚א תַֽעֲבָר־בָּהּ֙ רֶ֣גֶל אָדָ֔ם וְרֶ֥גֶל בְּהֵמָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַֽעֲבָר־בָּ֑הּ וְלֹ֥א תֵשֵׁ֖ב אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה:
12And I will make the land of Egypt desolate even amongst the desolate lands, and its cities, a desolation even amongst cities in ruins, forty years. יבוְנָתַתִּ֣י אֶת־אֶרֶץ֩ מִצְרַ֨יִם שְׁמָמָ֜ה בְּת֣וֹךְ | אֲרָצ֣וֹת נְשַׁמּ֗וֹת וְעָרֶ֙יהָ֙ בְּת֨וֹךְ עָרִ֚ים מָֽחֳרָבוֹת֙ תִּֽהְיֶ֣יןָ שְׁמָמָ֔ה אַרְבָּעִ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַֽהֲפִֽצֹתִ֚י אֶת־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם וְזֵֽרִיתִ֖ים בָּֽאֲרָצֽוֹת:
13Yet thus has the Lord God said: At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they have been scattered. יגכִּ֛י כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה מִקֵּ֞ץ אַרְבָּעִ֚ים שָׁנָה֙ אֲקַבֵּ֣ץ אֶת־מִצְרַ֔יִם מִן־הָֽעַמִּ֖ים אֲשֶׁר־נָפֹ֥צוּ שָֽׁמָּה:
14And I will return the captives of Egypt and will lead them to the land of Pathros, to the land of their habitation, and they shall be there an unimportant kingdom. ידוְשַׁבְתִּי֙ אֶת־שְׁב֣וּת מִצְרַ֔יִם וַֽהֲשִֽׁבֹתִ֚י אֹתָם֙ אֶ֣רֶץ פַּתְר֔וֹס עַל־אֶ֖רֶץ מְכֽוּרָתָ֑ם וְהָ֥יוּ שָׁ֖ם מַמְלָכָ֥ה שְׁפָלָֽה:
15It shall be the lowest of the kingdoms and shall no longer exalt itself above the nations, for I will diminish their numbers so that they shall not domineer over the nations. טומִן־הַמַּמְלָכוֹת֙ תִּֽהְיֶ֣ה שְׁפָלָ֔ה וְלֹֽא־תִתְנַשֵּׂ֥א ע֖וֹד עַל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְהִ֨מְעַטְתִּ֔ים לְבִלְתִּ֖י רְד֥וֹת בַּגּוֹיִֽם:
16And it will no longer be confidence of the House of Israel, bringing iniquity into remembrance when they turn after them, and they shall know that I am the Lord God. טזוְלֹ֣א יִֽהְיֶה־עוֹד֩ לְבֵ֨ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֚ל לְמִבְטָח֙ מַזְכִּ֣יר עָו‍ֹ֔ן בִּפְנוֹתָ֖ם אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם וְיָ֣דְע֔וּ כִּ֥י אֲנִ֖י אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה:
17And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year in the first [month], on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying: יזוַיְהִ֗י בְּעֶשְׂרִ֚ים וָשֶׁ֙בַע֙ שָׁנָ֔ה בָּֽרִאשׁ֖וֹן בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ הָיָ֥ה דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר:
18“Son of man! Nebuchadrezzar, the king of Babylon, made his army serve a great work against Tyre; every head became bald and every shoulder sore, yet he had no reward nor did his army out of Tyre for the service he had served against it. יחבֶּן־אָדָ֗ם נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּ֠בֶל הֶֽעֱבִ֨יד אֶת־חֵיל֜וֹ עֲבֹדָ֚ה גְדֹלָה֙ אֶל־צֹ֔ר כָּל־רֹ֣אשׁ מֻקְרָ֔ח וְכָל־כָּתֵ֖ף מְרוּטָ֑ה וְ֠שָׂכָר לֹא־הָ֨יָה ל֚וֹ וּלְחֵילוֹ֙ מִצֹּ֔ר עַל־הָֽעֲבֹדָ֖ה אֲשֶׁר־עָבַ֥ד עָלֶֽיהָ:
19Therefore, thus says the Lord God: Behold I will give Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, the land of Egypt, and he shall carry away its multitude, pillage its spoils, and plunder its booty, and that shall be the reward for his army. יטלָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֥י נֹתֵ֛ן לִנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְנָשָׂ֨א הֲמֹנָ֜הּ וְשָׁלַ֚ל שְׁלָלָהּ֙ וּבָזַ֣ז בִּזָּ֔הּ וְהָֽיְתָ֥ה שָׂכָ֖ר לְחֵילֽוֹ:
20For his labor wherewith he worked against it I have given him the land of Egypt, because of what they did to Me, says the Lord God. כפְּעֻלָּתוֹ֙ אֲשֶׁר־עָ֣בַד בָּ֔הּ נָתַ֥תִּי ל֖וֹ אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֲשֶׁר֙ עָ֣שׂוּ לִ֔י נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה:
21On that day will I cause the horn of the House of Israel to blossom out, and I will give you free speech in their midst, and they shall know that I am the Lord.” כאבַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא אַצְמִ֚יחַ קֶ֙רֶן֙ לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּלְךָ֛ אֶתֵּ֥ן פִּתְחֽוֹן־פֶּ֖ה בְּתוֹכָ֑ם וְיָֽדְע֖וּ כִּי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה:

Ezekiel 28:25 – 29:21

Asi dice Dios el Eterno: Cuando haya recogido a la casa de Israel de entre los pueblos donde están dispersos y los haya santificado a la vista de las naciones, morarán en su propia tierra que le di a Mi siervo Jacob( Yaacov).

(26) Allí vivirán seguros, construirán casas y plantarán viñedos; sí, vivirán seguros; sí, vivirán allí en seguridad cuando Yo ejecute Mis designios sobre todos los que los  desprecian en derredor y sabrán que Yo soy el Eterno su Dios”.

29(1) En el año décimo, en el décimo mes, al día doce del mes, me vino la palabra del Eterno, diciéndome:

(2)”Hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro contra el Faraón rey de Egipto; profetiza contra el y contra todo Egipto.

(3) Habla y diles: Así dice Dios el Eterno: He aquí quer Yo soy contra ti, oh Egipto, gran cocodrilo que permanece en medio de sus ríos y que ha dicho: “Mi río es mío propio porque yo mismo lo hice”.

(4) Pondré garfios en tus quijadas y haré que los peces de tus ríos se peguen a tus escamas; te sacaré de en medio de tus ríos y todos los peces de tus ríos se pegarán a tus escamas.

(5) te arrojaré al desierto, a ti y a todos los peces de tus ríos. Caerás sobre campo abierto. No serás recogido ni serás juntado. A las bestias de la tierra y a las aves de presa del cielo te he dado por alimento.

(6) Y todos los habitantes de Egipto sabrán que Yo soy el Eterno porque han sido báculo de caña cascada para la casa de Israel.

(7) Cuando te toman con la mano, te quebrantan y desgarran sus hombros; cuando se apoyan sobre ti, te quebrantas y haces que sus lomos de endurezcan.

(8) Por lo tanto, así dice Dios el Eterno: He aquí que traeré una espada sobre ti y cortaré de ti todo hombre y a toda bestia.

(9) Y será desolada y yerma la tierra de Egipto; así sabrán que Yo soy el Eterno porque dijo el rey: “El río es mío y yo lo he hecho”.

(10) Por lo tanto, he aquí que soy contra tus ríos; haré que la tierra de Egipto quede totalmente desierta y desolada, desde Migdol hasta Svené, (o sea) hasta la frontera de Cush( Etiopía).

(11) Ningún pie de hombre pasará por allí, ni pasará por allí pie de bestia, ni será habitado el país por cuarenta años.

(12) Y haré que la tierra de Egipto quede desolada en medio de paises que están desolados; sus ciudades estarán yermas durante cuarenta años entre las ciudades y esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones, los dispersaré por los paisés.

(13) Porque así dice Dios el Eterno: Al cabo de cuarenta años, reuniré a los egipcios de entre los pueblos adonde los esparcí;

(14) tornaré el cautiverio de Egipto y les haré volver a la tierra de Patros (Tebaida, alto valle de Nilo), a la tierra de su origen y serán allí reino despreciable.

(15) Será el más despreciable de los reinos y no se levantará más sobre las naciones; los disminuiré para que no dominen más a otras naciones.

(16) Y no merecerán más confianza de la casa de Israel que se acordará de la iniquidad cuando quiera recurrir a ellos y sabrán que Yo soy Dios el Eterno”.

(17) Y sucedió en el año vigésimo séptimo, en el primer mes, al primer día del mes, que me vino palabra del Eterno, diciéndome:

(18) “Hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, hizo que su ejército prestara un gran servicio contra Tiro. Causó calvez a toda cabeza y toda espalda fue despedazada. Sin embrago, no tuvo remuneración, ni tampoco su ejército en Tiro por el servicio que prestó contra ella.

(19) Por lo tanto, así dice Dios el Eterno: He aquí que daré la tierra de Egipto a Nabucodonosor, rey de babilonia, quien se llevará su abundancia y tomará sus despojos, tomará su presa y eso será la retribución para su ejército.

(20) Le he dado la tierra de Egipto para el trabajo que hizo porque obró para Mí, dice Dios el Eterno. (21) En aquel día haré que crezca un cuerno para la casa de Israel, te daré y abriré en medio de ellos tu boca y sabrán que Yo soy el Eterno”.

SALMO 92

Cántico. Para el día Sábado (Shabat, descanso).

(2) Es cosa buena alabar al Eterno y cantar alabanzas a Tu Nombre, oh Altísimo,

(3) declarando Tu benevolencia por la mañana, y tu fidelidad por las noches,

(4) con un instrumento de diez cuerdas, y con un arpa y con el dulce son de la lira.

(5) Porque Tú, Oh Eterno, me has alegrado con Tu labor, exaltaré las obras de Tus manos.

(6) ¡Cuán grande son Tus obras, oh Eterno! Y Tus pensamientos son muy profundos como la hierba.

(7) El que es bruto no sabe, y el tonto no comprende esto.

(8) Cuando los inicuos florecen como la hierba, y cuando los obradores de maldad proliferan, es cuando más pueden ser destruidos.

(9) Pero Tú, oh Eterno, está en lo alto para siempre.

(10) Porque he aquí que Tus enemigos, oh Eterno, tus enemigos perecerán. Todos los obradores de iniquidad serán esparcidos.

(11) Pero a mi honra Tú la has exaltado como el cuerno del uro. Soy ungido con rico óleo.

(12) Mis ojos han reparado en los que me acechan. Mis oídos han escuchado el deseo de los inicuos que se levantan contra mí.

(13) El justo florecerá como palmera. Crecerá como un centro en el Líbano.

(14) Plantados (los justos) en la Casa del Eterno, florecerán en los atrios de nuestro Dios.

(15) Producirán todavía fruto en edad avanzada. Serán vigorosos y de abundantes frutos,

(16) para declarar que el Eterno es recto. Es mi roca en la que no hay injusticia.

Tehilim – Psalma – Chapter 92

1A song with musical accompaniment for the Sabbath day. אמִזְמ֥וֹר שִׁ֜֗יר לְי֣וֹם הַשַּׁבָּֽת:
2It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing to Your name, O Most High. בט֗וֹב לְהֹד֥וֹת לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה וּלְזַמֵּ֖ר לְשִׁמְךָ֣ עֶלְיֽוֹן:
3To declare in the morning Your kindness and Your faith at night. גלְהַגִּ֣יד בַּבֹּ֣קֶר חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ וֶֽ֜אֱמוּנָֽתְךָ֗ בַּלֵּילֽוֹת:
4Upon a ten-stringed harp and upon a psaltery, with speech upon a harp. דעֲלֵֽי־עָ֖שׂוֹר וַֽעֲלֵי־נָ֑בֶל עֲלֵ֖י הִגָּי֣וֹן בְּכִנּֽוֹר:
5For You have made me happy O Lord, with Your work; with the work of Your hands I shall exult. הכִּ֚י שִׂמַּחְתַּ֣נִי יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּפָֽעֳלֶ֑ךָ בְּמַֽעֲשֵׂ֖י יָדֶ֣יךָ אֲרַנֵּֽן:
6How great are Your works, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep. ומַה־גָּֽדְל֣וּ מַֽעֲשֶׂ֣יךָ יְהֹוָ֑ה מְ֜אֹ֗ד עָֽמְק֥וּ מַחְשְׁבֹתֶֽיךָ:
7A boorish man does not know; neither does a fool understand this. זאִ֣ישׁ בַּ֖עַר לֹ֥א יֵדָ֑ע וּ֜כְסִ֗יל לֹֽא־יָבִ֥ין אֶת־זֹֽאת:
8When the wicked flourish like grass, and all workers of violence blossom, only to be destroyed to eternity. חבִּפְרֹ֚חַ רְשָׁעִ֨ים | כְּֽמ֥וֹ עֵ֗שֶׂב וַ֖יָּצִיצוּ כָּל־פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן לְהִשָּֽׁמְדָ֥ם עֲדֵי־עַֽד:
9But You remain on high forever, O Lord. טוְאַתָּ֥ה מָ֜ר֗וֹם לְעֹ֘לָ֥ם יְהֹוָֽה:
10For behold Your enemies, O Lord, for behold Your enemies will perish; all workers of violence will scatter. יכִּ֚י הִנֵּ֪ה אֹֽיְבֶ֡יךָ | יְֽהוָ֗ה כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֣ה אֹֽיְבֶ֣יךָ יֹאבֵ֑דוּ יִ֜תְפָּֽרְד֗וּ כָּל־פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן:
11But You have raised my horn like that of a wild ox; to soak me with fresh oil. יאוַתָּ֣רֶם כִּרְאֵ֣ים קַרְנִ֑י בַּ֜לֹּתִ֗י בְּשֶׁ֣מֶן רַֽעֲנָֽן:
12My eye has gazed upon those who stare at me [with envy]; when evildoers rise up against me, my ears hear [them]. יבוַתַּבֵּ֥ט עֵינִ֗י בְּשׁ֫וּרָ֥י בַּקָּמִ֣ים עָלַ֣י מְרֵעִ֑ים תִּשְׁמַ֥עְנָה אָזְנָֽי:
13The righteous one flourishes like the palm; as a cedar in Lebanon he grows. יגצַדִּיק כַּתָּמָ֣ר יִפְרָ֑ח כְּאֶ֖רֶז בַּלְּבָנ֣וֹן יִשְׂגֶּֽה:
14Planted in the house of the Lord, in the courts of our God they will flourish. ידשְׁתוּלִים בְּבֵ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה בְּחַצְר֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣ינוּ יַפְרִֽיחוּ:
15They will yet grow in old age; fat and fresh will they be. טוע֖וֹד יְנוּב֣וּן בְּשֵׂיבָ֑ה דְּשֵׁנִ֖ים וְרַֽעֲנַנִּ֣ים יִֽהְיֽוּ:
16To declare that the Lord is upright, my rock in Whom there is no injustice. טזלְהַגִּיד כִּֽי־יָשָׁ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה צ֜וּרִ֗י וְֽלֹא־עַוְלָ֥תָה(כתיב עַלָ֥תָה) בּֽוֹ:
SALMO 93

(1) El Eterno reina. Revestido es de majestad. El Eterno está vestido: Se ha ceñido de fortaleza. El mundo está establecido para que no pueda moverse.

(2) Tu trono está establecido desde antiguo. Tú eres desde la eternidad.

(3) Se han levantado los torrentes, oh Eterno. la crecientes han elevado su voz. Las inundaciones hacen oír su estruendo.

(4) Sobre la voz de muchas aguas, las poderosas olas del mar, el Eterno desde lo alto muestra Su poder.

(5) Tus testimonios son muy seguros. La santidad orna Tu casa, Oh Eterno, para siempre.

Tehilim – Psalma – Chapter 92

1The Lord has reigned; He has attired Himself with majesty; yea the Lord has attired Himself, He has girded Himself with might. The world also is established that it cannot be moved. איְהֹוָ֣ה מָלָךְ֘ גֵּא֪וּת לָ֫בֵ֥שׁ לָבֵ֣שׁ יְ֖הֹוָה עֹ֥ז הִתְאַזָּ֑ר אַף־תִּכּ֥וֹן תֵּ֜בֵ֗ל בַּל־תִּמּֽוֹט:
2Your throne is established of old; You are from everlasting. בנָכ֣וֹן כִּסְאֲךָ֣ מֵאָ֑ז מֵ֖עוֹלָ֣ם אָֽתָּה:
3The rivers have raised, O Lord, the rivers have raised their voice; the rivers have raised their depths. גנָֽשְׂא֚וּ נְהָר֨וֹת | יְהֹוָ֗ה נָֽשְׂא֣וּ נְהָר֣וֹת קוֹלָ֑ם יִשְׂא֖וּ נְהָר֣וֹת דָּכְיָֽם:
4More than the voices of great waters and more than the mightiest breakers of the sea, is the Lord mighty on high. דמִקֹּל֨וֹת | מַ֚יִם רַבִּ֗ים אַדִּירִ֣ים מִשְׁבְּרֵי־יָ֑ם אַדִּ֖יר בַּמָּר֣וֹם יְהֹוָֽה:
5Your testimonies are very faithful to Your house, the dwelling of holiness, O Lord, to the length of days. העֵֽדֹתֶ֨יךָ | נֶֽאֶמְנ֬וּ מְאֹ֗ד לְבֵֽיתְךָ֥ נָֽאֲוָה־קֹ֑דֶשׁ יְ֜הֹוָ֗ה לְאֹ֣רֶךְ יָמִֽים:

Génesis 2(1-3) Y fueron acabados los cielos, la tierra y todas sus huestes.

(2)Y habiendo terminado Dios el día séptimo, la obra que había hecho, descansó el día séptimo de todo el trabajo realizado.

(3) y Dios bendijo el séptimo día y lo santificó porque en él descansó de toda la obra que había creado.

Bereishit – Genesis – Chapter 2

1Now the heavens and the earth were completed and all their host. אוַיְכֻלּ֛וּ הַשָּׁמַ֥יִם וְהָאָ֖רֶץ וְכָל־צְבָאָֽם:
2And God completed on the seventh day His work that He did, and He abstained on the seventh day from all His work that He did. בוַיְכַ֤ל אֱלֹהִים֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י מְלַאכְתּ֖וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה וַיִּשְׁבֹּת֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י מִכָּל־מְלַאכְתּ֖וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה:
3And God blessed the seventh day and He hallowed it, for thereon He abstained from all His work that God created to do. גוַיְבָ֤רֶךְ אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶת־י֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י וַיְקַדֵּ֖שׁ אֹת֑וֹ כִּ֣י ב֤וֹ שָׁבַת֙ מִכָּל־מְלַאכְתּ֔וֹ אֲשֶׁר־בָּרָ֥א אֱלֹהִ֖ים לַֽעֲשֽׂוֹת:

Éxodo 16(22)Y en el sexto día recogieron pan doble, dos omer por cada uno,  todos los jefes de las congregaciones se presentaron ante Moisés para contarle el acontecimiento.

(23) Y les explicó Moisés: “Esto es lo que dijo el Eterno: Mañana es día de descanso (sábado, Shabat), día santo para el Eterno.

Shemot – Exodus – Chapter 16

22It came to pass on the sixth day that they gathered a double portion of bread, two omers for [each] one, and all the princes of the community came and reported [it] to Moses. כבוַיְהִ֣י | בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשִּׁשִּׁ֗י לָֽקְט֥וּ לֶ֨חֶם֙ מִשְׁנֶ֔ה שְׁנֵ֥י הָעֹ֖מֶר לָֽאֶחָ֑ד וַיָּבֹ֨אוּ֙ כָּל־נְשִׂיאֵ֣י הָֽעֵדָ֔ה וַיַּגִּ֖ידוּ לְמשֶֽׁה:
23So he said to them, That is what the Lord spoke, Tomorrow is a rest day, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake whatever you wish to bake, and cook whatever you wish to cook, and all the rest leave over to keep until morning. כגוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם ה֚וּא אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה שַׁבָּת֧וֹן שַׁבַּת־קֹ֛דֶשׁ לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה מָחָ֑ר אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאפ֞וּ אֵפ֗וּ וְאֵ֤ת אֲשֶׁר־תְּבַשְּׁלוּ֙ בַּשֵּׁ֔לוּ וְאֵת֙ כָּל־הָ֣עֹדֵ֔ף הַנִּ֧יחוּ לָכֶ֛ם לְמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת עַד־הַבֹּֽקֶר:

Éxodo 20(8)Te acordarás del día de reposo (Shabbat, Sábado) para santificarlo.

(9)Seis días trabajarás y harás toda tu labor,

(10) pero el día séptimo, sábado, lo consagrarás al Eterno, tu Dios y ese día no harás labor alguna, ni tú, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu sierva, ni tu animal, ni el extranjero que esté en tu casa,

(11) porque es seis días hizo el Eterno los cielos, la tierra, el mar y todo lo que hay en ellos y descansó el día séptimo; por eso bendijo el día sábado y lo santificó.

Shemot – Exodus – Chapter 20

8Remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it. חזָכוֹר֩ אֶת־י֨וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֜ת לְקַדְּשׁ֗וֹ:
9Six days may you work and perform all your labor, טשֵׁ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֣ים תַּֽעֲבֹד֘ וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ כָל־מְלַאכְתֶּךָ֒:
10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord, your God; you shall perform no labor, neither you, your son, your daughter, your manservant, your maidservant, your beast, nor your stranger who is in your cities. יוְי֨וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י שַׁבָּ֣ת | לַֽיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א תַֽעֲשֶׂ֣ה כָל־מְלָאכָ֡ה אַתָּ֣ה | וּבִנְךָ֣־וּ֠בִתֶּךָ עַבְדְּךָ֨ וַֽאֲמָֽתְךָ֜ וּבְהֶמְתֶּ֗ךָ וְגֵֽרְךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בִּשְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ:
11For [in] six days the Lord made the heaven and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it. יאכִּ֣י שֵֽׁשֶׁת־יָמִים֩ עָשָׂ֨ה יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם וְאֶת־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת־הַיָּם֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֔ם וַיָּ֖נַח בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֑י עַל־כֵּ֗ן בֵּרַ֧ךְ יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת־י֥וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֖ת וַֽיְקַדְּשֵֽׁהוּ:

Éxodo 31(12)Y le dijo el Eterno a Moisés:

(13) Diles a los hijos de Israel: Ciertamente guardaréis Mis sábados porque es señal del Pacto entre Yo y vosotros y por vuestras generaciones, para recordar siempre que Yo soy el Eterno, vuestro santificador.

Shemot – Exodus – Chapter 31

12The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: יבוַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־משֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר:
13“And you, speak to the children of Israel and say: ‘Only keep My Sabbaths! For it is a sign between Me and you for your generations, to know that I, the Lord, make you holy. יגוְאַתָּ֞ה דַּבֵּ֨ר אֶל־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אַ֥ךְ אֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַ֖י תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ כִּי֩ א֨וֹת הִ֜וא בֵּינִ֤י וּבֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם לָדַ֕עַת כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם:
14Therefore, keep the Sabbath, for it is a sacred thing for you. Those who desecrate it shall be put to death, for whoever performs work on it, that soul will be cut off from the midst of its people. ידוּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙ אֶת־הַשַּׁבָּ֔ת כִּ֛י קֹ֥דֶשׁ הִ֖וא לָכֶ֑ם מְחַֽלֲלֶ֨יהָ֙ מ֣וֹת יוּמָ֔ת כִּ֗י כָּל־הָֽעֹשֶׂ֥ה בָהּ֙ מְלָאכָ֔ה וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מִקֶּ֥רֶב עַמֶּֽיהָ:

Levíticos 23(3 ) Seis días trabajarán, pero el séptimo será sábado (Shabbat, reposos), de estricto descanso y santa convocación. No harás trabajo alguno en él. Es sábado para el Eterno, en todas tus moradas.

Vayikra – Leviticus – Chapter 23

3[For] six days, work may be performed, but on the seventh day, it is a complete rest day, a holy occasion; you shall not perform any work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places. גשֵׁ֣שֶׁת יָמִים֘ תֵּֽעָשֶׂ֣ה מְלָאכָה֒ וּבַיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י שַׁבַּ֤ת שַׁבָּתוֹן֙ מִקְרָא־קֹ֔דֶשׁ כָּל־מְלָאכָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַֽעֲשׂ֑וּ שַׁבָּ֥ת הִוא֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה בְּכֹ֖ל מֽוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶֽם:

Deuteronomio 5:12 Guardarás el día de descanso (Shabbat, sábado) para santificarlo, como el Eterno, tu Dios te ha mandado . (13) Seis días trabajaras y en ellos harás tus obras, (14) pero el día septimo es de descanso para el Eterno, tu Dios. En él no harás trabajo alguno, ni tampoco tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu sierva, ni tu ganado, ni tu asno, ni el forastero que habita dentro de tus puertas. tu siervo y tu sierva descansarán como tú. Acuérdate de que fuiste siervo en la tierra de Egipto y que el Eterno tu Dios te sacó de allí con mano poderosa y brazo extendido. Por consiguiente, el Eterno tu Dios, te ordena que guardes el día de descanso.

Devarim – Deuteronomy – Chapter 5

12Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord your God commanded you. יבשָׁמ֛וֹר אֶת־י֥וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֖ת לְקַדְּשׁ֑וֹ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוְּךָ֖ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ:
13Six days may you work, and perform all your labor, יגשֵׁ֤שֶׁת יָמִים֙ תַּֽעֲבֹ֔ד וְעָשִׂ֖יתָ כָּל־מְלַאכְתֶּֽךָ:

15And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord your God took you out from there with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm; therefore, the Lord, your God, commanded you to observe the Sabbath day. טווְזָֽכַרְתָּ֗ כִּ֣י עֶ֤בֶד הָיִ֨יתָ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיֹּצִ֨אֲךָ֜ יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ֙ מִשָּׁ֔ם בְּיָ֥ד חֲזָקָ֖ה וּבִזְרֹ֣עַ נְטוּיָ֑ה עַל־כֵּ֗ן צִוְּךָ֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לַֽעֲשׂ֖וֹת אֶת־י֥וֹם הַשַּׁבָּֽת:

Isaías 56(1-2) Así dice el Eterno: Guardad la justicia y haced lo que es recto porque Mi salvación está próxima y Mi justicia será revelada. (2) Feliz es el hombre que hace esto y el hijo del hombre que a ello se asiere, guardándose de profanar el sábado y que guarde su mano de toda obra mala.

Yeshayahu – Isaiah – Chapter 56

1So says the Lord, “Keep justice and practice righteousness, for My salvation is near to come, and My benevolence to be revealed.” אכֹּה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה שִׁמְר֥וּ מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וַֽעֲשׂ֣וּ צְדָקָ֑ה כִּֽי־קְרוֹבָ֚ה יְשֽׁוּעָתִי֙ לָב֔וֹא וְצִדְקָתִ֖י לְהִגָּלֽוֹת:
2Fortunate is the man who will do this and the person who will hold fast to it, he who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it and guards his hand from doing any evil. באַשְׁרֵ֚י אֱנוֹשׁ֙ יַֽעֲשֶׂה־זֹּ֔את וּבֶן־אָדָ֖ם יַֽחֲזִ֣יק בָּ֑הּ שֹׁמֵ֚ר שַׁבָּת֙ מֵֽחַלְּל֔וֹ וְשֹׁמֵ֥ר יָד֖וֹ מֵֽעֲשׂ֥וֹת כָּל־רָֽע:

Isaías 58:13 Si dejas de rechazar el Sábado, si te abstienes de dedicarte a tu negocio en Mi día sagrado y consideras el Sábado como un deleite, si consideras honroso el día sagrado del Eterno y lo honras, si no haces tus propios designios ese día, ni que ejerzas  tu negocio o hablas de él,

(14) entonces te deleitaras en el Eterno y te haré cabalgar sobre los lugares elevados de la tierra; te alimentaré con la herencia de Jacob tu padre porque la boca del Eterno así lo a dicho.

Yeshayahu – Isaiah – Chapter 58

13If you restrain your foot because of the Sabbath, from performing your affairs on My holy day, and you call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord honored, and you honor it by not doing your wonted ways, by not pursuing your affairs and speaking words. יגאִם־תָּשִׁ֚יב מִשַּׁבָּת֙ רַגְלֶ֔ךָ עֲשׂ֥וֹת חֲפָצֶ֖יךָ בְּי֣וֹם קָדְשִׁ֑י וְקָרָ֨אתָ לַשַּׁבָּ֜ת עֹ֗נֶג לִקְד֚וֹשׁ יְהֹוָה֙ מְכֻבָּ֔ד וְכִבַּדְתּוֹ֙ מֵֽעֲשׂ֣וֹת דְּרָכֶ֔יךָ מִמְּצ֥וֹא חֶפְצְךָ֖ וְדַבֵּ֥ר דָּבָֽר:

Isaías 66(23) Y acontecerá que de una luna nueva a otra y de un sábado a otro, toda criatura vendrá a reverenciarme, dice el Eterno.

Yeshayahu – Isaiah – Chapter 66

23And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from Sabbath to Sabbath, that all flesh shall come to prostrate themselves before Me,” says the Lord. כגוְהָיָ֗ה מִֽדֵּי־חֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ בְּחָדְשׁ֔וֹ וּמִדֵּ֥י שַׁבָּ֖ת בְּשַׁבַּתּ֑וֹ יָב֧וֹא כָל־בָּשָֹ֛ר לְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲו‍ֹ֥ת לְפָנַ֖י אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה:

Jeremías 17(24) Y ocurrirá, si me escucháis diligentemente, dice el Eterno, no pasando carga alguna por los portales de esta ciudad el día sábado, sino santificando el día de descanso sin hacer trabajo alguno,

(25) que entrarán por los portones de esta ciudad reyes y príncipes que se sentarán sobre el trono de David, vendrán en carros y caballos, ellos y sus príncipes, los hombres de Judá y los moradores de Jerusalén y esta ciudad será habitada para siempre.

(26)Y vendrán de las ciudades de Judá y de los lugares enredador de Jerusalén, de las tierras de Benjamín y de la llanura, de las montañas y del sur, trayendo holocausto y sacrificio, ofrendas vegetales e incienso y trayendo sacrificios de agradecimiento a la Casa del Eterno.

(27) Pero si no Me escucháis para santificar el día sábado y que lleváis cargas y entráis por los portones de Jerusalén el día sábado, entonces prenderé fuego a dichos portales y devoraré los palacios de Jerusalén y no será apagado.

Yirmiyahu – Jeremiah – Chapter 17 (24 – 27)

24And it shall be if you hearken to Me, says the Lord, not to bring any burden into the gates of this city on the Sabbath day and to hallow the Sabbath day not to perform any labor thereon, כדוְ֠הָיָה אִם־שָׁמֹ֨עַ תִּשְׁמְע֚וּן אֵלַי֙ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה לְבִלְתִּ֣י | הָבִ֣יא מַשָּׂ֗א בְּשַֽׁעֲרֵ֛י הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֖את בְּי֣וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֑ת וּלְקַדֵּשׁ֙ אֶת־י֣וֹם הַשַּׁבָּ֔ת לְבִלְתִּ֥י עֲשׂוֹת־בּ֖וֹ (כתיב בֹּ֖ה) כָּל־מְלָאכָֽה:
25Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting on David’s throne, riding in chariots and with horses, they and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and this city shall be inhabited forever. כהוּבָ֣אוּ בְשַֽׁעֲרֵ֣י הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֡את מְלָכִ֣ים | וְשָׂרִ֡ים יֹֽשְׁבִים֩ עַל־כִּסֵּ֨א דָוִ֜ד רֹֽכְבִ֣ים | בָּרֶ֣כֶב וּבַסּוּסִ֗ים הֵמָּה וְשָׂ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם אִ֥ישׁ יְהוּדָ֖ה וְיֹֽשְׁבֵ֣י יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְיָֽשְׁבָ֛ה הָֽעִ֥יר־הַזֹּ֖את לְעוֹלָֽם:
26And they shall come from the cities of Judah and from the environs of Jerusalem and from the land of Benjamin and from the lowland and from the mountain and from the Negev, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices and meal-offerings and frankincense, and those bringing thanksgiving offerings to the house of the Lord. כווּבָ֣אוּ מֵֽעָֽרֵי־יְ֠הוּדָה וּמִסְּבִיב֨וֹת יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֜ם וּמֵאֶ֣רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֗ן וּמִן־הַשְּׁפֵלָ֚ה וּמִן־הָהָר֙ וּמִן־הַנֶּ֔גֶב מְבִאִ֛ים עֹלָ֥ה וְזֶ֖בַח וּמִנְחָ֣ה וּלְבוֹנָ֑ה וּמְבִאֵ֥י תוֹדָ֖ה בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה:

Melave Malka – Guía paso a paso

Melave Malka significa “Escoltar a la Reina”, la Reina Shabat. Ella entró el viernes por la noche con toda su gloria, y ahora la acompañamos a salir con la misma majestuosidad.

Tenemos una fiesta.

Supongo que puedes llamarla “Banquete Honorífico” de Shabat, porque su existencia proclama: hey, hemos logrado algo aquí. Fue increíble.

Y queremos hacerlo de nuevo.

Havdalá – Guía paso a paso

Vino, especies y velas. havdalá es la ceremonia con la que concluye Shabat.

Así como proclamamos la entrada d el Shabat haciendo “Kidush”, así también marcamos la salida del Shabat con “Havdalá”.

1. Lo que necesitarás:

  • Una vela doble (o dos velas pegadas con sus mechas juntas)
  • Copa de vino o jugo de uvas
  • Especias (los clavos de olor funcionan bien)
  • Un Pedazo de papel aluminio (o un plato) para que la vela gotee, y para extinguir la llama

2. Shabat termina cuando tres estrellas de tamaño mediano son visibles a primera vista en el cielo de la noche. Este tiempo varía de acuerdo a la ubicación y temporada.

3. Si el tiempo de finalización del Shabat ha pasado, uno puede recitar las siguientes palabras y comenzar a hacer actividades de “la semana”: (…)

Bendito es Quien divide entre lo sagrado y lo mundano.

Seis Tipos de Perfección

¡Tengo el tipo perfecto para vos!”. Perfección es lo que anhelamos cuando buscamos un marido, un médico o una niñera. Aquellos que han vivido bastante nos dirán que el único lugar para la perfección está en la búsqueda de perfeccionarse a sí mismo. ¿Pero, qué es “perfección”? ¿Tiene algún significado más allá de “lo que yo quiero” (o pienso que quiero)?

Esta semana concluimos—en el ciclo anual de la lectura de la Torá—el libro de Génesis, también llamado por nuestros Sabios “el libro de los justos”. El Génesis es la historia de una serie de individuos perfectos: Adám (hecho “a imagen y semejanza de Di-s”), Noaj (que en la Torá es llamado “un hombre justo”), Abraham (descripto como “el querido de Di-s”), Isaac (la “ofrenda perfecta”), Iaakov (la “persona íntegra”) y Iosef (“el justo”). ¿Qué tipo de perfección ejemplifican estas personalidades?
