Isaiah – Isaías – Chapter 59

1Behold, the hand of the Lord is not too short to save, neither is His ear too heavy to hear.

2But your iniquities were separating between you and between your God, and your sins have caused [Him] to hide [His] face from you that He not hear.

3For your hands were defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken falsehood, your tongue mutters injustice.

4No one calls sincerely, and no one is judged faithfully; trusting in vanity and speaking lies, conceiving injustice and begetting wickedness.

5They hatched vipers’ eggs, and they weave spider webs; whoever eats of their eggs shall die, and what hatches, emerges a viper.

6Their webs shall not become a garment, neither shall they cover themselves with their deeds; their deeds are works of wickedness, and there is a deed of violence in their hands.

7Their feet run to evil, and they hasten to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness; robbery and ruin are in their paths.

8The way of peace they do not know, and there is no justice in their paths; they have made themselves crooked paths; whoever goes on it knows no peace.

9Therefore, justice is far from us, and righteousness does not overtake us; we hope for light and behold there is darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom.

10We tap a wall like blind men, and like those who have no eyes we tap; we have stumbled at midday like in the darkness of night; [we are] in dark places like the dead.

11We all growl like bears, and like doves we moan; we hope for justice but there is none, for salvation [but] it has distanced itself from us.

12For our transgressions against You are many, and our sins have testified against us, for our transgressions are with us, and our iniquities-we know them.

13Rebelling and denying the Lord, and drawing away from following our God, speaking oppression and perverseness, sprouting and giving forth from the heart words of falsehood.

14And justice has turned away backward, and righteousness stands from afar, for truth has stumbled in the street, and straightforwardness cannot come.

15And truth is lacking, and he who turns away from evil is considered mad, and the Lord saw and was displeased for there is no justice.

16And He saw that there was no man, and He was astounded for there was no intercessor, and His armsaved for Him, and His righteousness, that supported Him.

17And He donned righteousness like a coat of mail, and a helmet of salvation is upon His head, and He donned garments of vengeance as His attire, and He was clad with zeal as a cloak.

18According to their deeds, accordingly He shall repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; to the islands He shall pay recompense.

19And from the west they shall fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, His glory, for distress shall come like a river; the spirit of the Lord is wondrous in it.

20And a redeemer shall come to Zion, and to those who repent of transgression in Jacob, says the Lord.

21“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My spirit, which is upon you and My words that I have placed in your mouth, shall not move from your mouth or from the mouth of your seed and from the mouth of your seed’s seed,” said the Lord, “from now and to eternity.”

Isaías 59

(1) He aqui que no se ha acortado la mano del Eterno para impedirse salvar, ni se ha tapado Su oído para que no pueda oír. (2) Pero vuestras iniquidades os han separado de vuestro Dios; vuestros pecados has ocultado Su rostro de vosotros y le han impedido oíros. (3) Porque vuestras manos están manchadas de sangre y vuestros dedos, con iniquidad. Vuestros labios han dicho mentiras. Vuestras lenguas murmuran maldad. (4) Nadie pleitea con justicia y nadie litiga de buena fe. Confían en la falsedad y dicen mentiras. Proyectan engaños y paren iniquidades. (5) Empollan huevos de basilisco y tejen tela de la araña. Muere el que come sus huevos y si algunos de éstos se rompe, sale de él una víbora. (6) Sus telas nunca llegarán a ser vestidos, ni los hombres se cubrirán con sus obras. Sus obras son objeto de iniquidad y en sus manos hay violencia. (7) Sus pies corren hacia el mal y se apresuran para derramar sangre inocente. Sus preocupaciones sólo reflejan pensamientos de iniquidad. La desolación y la destrucción están en sus sendas. (8) El camino de la paz no lo conocen y no hay justicia en lo que hacen. Se han hecho senderos desviados. Quienquiera que vaya por allí no conocerá La Paz. (9) Por tanto, la justicia está lejos de nosotros; tampoco la rectitud nos toca. Buscamos la luz pero andamos en la penumbra. (10) Tanteamos contra la pared como los ciegos. Lo hacemos como si no tuviéramos ojos. Tropezamos al medio día como al anochecer. Estamos en lugares oscuros como los muertos. (11) Gruñimos como osos y gemidos como las palomas. Buscamos justicia pero no la hay y la salvación está lejana para nosotros. (12) Por lo cual nuestros pecados se multiplican delante de Ti y nuestras transgresiones dan testimonio contra nosotros porque están presente con nosotros. Y en cuanto a nuestras iniquidades, las conocemos: (13) Transgredimos, negamos al Eterno y nos desviamos de seguir a nuestro Dios, concibiendo opresión y perversidad, expresando desde el corazón palabras de falsedad. (14) Y la justicia se ha vuelto hacia atrás; la rectitud se ha alejado mucho. La buena fe ha tropezado en el lugar amplio y la probidad no puede entrar. (15) falta la verdad y el que se aparta del mal se convierte en presa. El Eterno lo vio y le desagradó que no hubiera justicia. (16) Vio que no había hombre y se asombró de que no hubiera quien se pusiera de por medio. Por tanto, Su propio brazo Le trajo salvación y Le sostuvo Su rectitud. (17) Y se vistió de justicia como con una coraza, con un yelmo de salvación sobre Su cabeza; se puso ropas de venganza como vestido y se cubrió de celo como manto. (18) Según el mérito de ellos, así Él los pagará: irá a Sus adversarios, represaliará a Sus enemigos. A las islas dará retribución. (19) Así temerá el Nombre del Eterno desde el occidente y conocerán Su gloria desde el sol naciente porque vendrá la aflicción como una inundación, empujada por el aliento del Eterno. (20) Y vendrá un redentor a Sión para los que se vuelven de la transgresión de Jacob, dice el Eterno. (21) Y en cuanto a Mí, este es Mío pacto con ellos, dice el Eterno: Mi espíritu que es sobre ti y Mis palabras que he puesto en tu boca no se pararán de tu boca, ni de la boca de tu primogenitura, ni de la boca de los descendientes de tus descendientes, dice el Eterno, desde ahora y para siempre.

1Behold, the hand of the Lord is not too short to save, neither is His ear too heavy to hear.		אהֵ֛ן לֹא־קָֽצְרָ֥ה יַד־יְהֹוָ֖ה מֵֽהוֹשִׁ֑יעַ וְלֹא־כָֽבְדָ֥ה אָזְנ֖וֹ מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ:
2But your iniquities were separating between you and between your God, and your sins have caused [Him] to hide [His] face from you that He not hear.		בכִּ֚י אִם־עֲו‍ֹנֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ הָי֣וּ מַבְדִּלִ֔ים בֵּֽינֵכֶ֕ם לְבֵ֖ין אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֑ם וְחַטֹּֽאותֵיכֶ֗ם הִסְתִּ֧ירוּ פָנִ֛ים מִכֶּ֖ם מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ:

5They hatched vipers’ eggs, and they weave spider webs; whoever eats of their eggs shall die, and what hatches, emerges a viper.		הבֵּיצֵ֚י צִפְעוֹנִי֙ בִּקֵּ֔עוּ וְקוּרֵ֥י עַכָּבִ֖ישׁ יֶֽאֱרֹ֑גוּ הָֽאֹכֵ֚ל מִבֵּֽיצֵיהֶם֙ יָמ֔וּת וְהַזּוּרֶ֖ה תִּבָּקַ֥ע אֶפְעֶֽה:
6Their webs shall not become a garment, neither shall they cover themselves with their deeds; their deeds are works of wickedness, and there is a deed of violence in their hands.		וקֽוּרֵיהֶם֙ לֹא־יִֽהְי֣וּ לְבֶ֔גֶד וְלֹ֥א יִתְכַּסּ֖וּ בְּמַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם מַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶם֙ מַֽעֲשֵׂי־אָ֔וֶן וּפֹ֥עַל חָמָ֖ס בְּכַפֵּיהֶֽם:

8The way of peace they do not know, and there is no justice in their paths; they have made themselves crooked paths; whoever goes on it knows no peace.		חדֶּ֚רֶךְ שָׁלוֹם֙ לֹ֣א יָדָ֔עוּ וְאֵ֥ין מִשְׁפָּ֖ט בְּמַעְגְּלֹתָ֑ם נְתִיבֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ עִקְּשׁ֣וּ לָהֶ֔ם כֹּל דֹּרֵ֣ךְ בָּ֔הּ לֹ֥א יָדַ֖ע שָׁלֽוֹם:
9Therefore, justice is far from us, and righteousness does not overtake us; we hope for light and behold there is darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom.		טעַל־כֵּ֗ן רָחַ֚ק מִשְׁפָּט֙ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ וְלֹ֥א תַשִּׂיגֵ֖נוּ צְדָקָ֑ה נְקַוֶּ֚ה לָאוֹר֙ וְהִנֵּה־חֹ֔שֶׁךְ לִנְגֹה֖וֹת בַּֽאֲפֵל֥וֹת נְהַלֵּֽךְ:

1You are children of the Lord, your God. You shall neither cut yourselves nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.		אבָּנִ֣ים אַתֶּ֔ם לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֑ם לֹ֣א תִתְגֹּֽדְד֗וּ וְלֹֽא־תָשִׂ֧ימוּ קָרְחָ֛ה בֵּ֥ין עֵֽינֵיכֶ֖ם לָמֵֽת:
2For you are a holy people to the Lord, your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a treasured people for Him, out of all the nations that are upon the earth.		בכִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וּבְךָ֞ בָּחַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה לִֽהְי֥וֹת לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם סְגֻלָּ֔ה מִכֹּל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה:
3You shall not eat any abomination.		גלֹ֥א תֹאכַ֖ל כָּל־תּֽוֹעֵבָֽה:
4These are the animals that you may eat: ox, lamb, and kid,		דזֹ֥את הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאכֵ֑לוּ שׁ֕וֹר שֵׂ֥ה כְשָׂבִ֖ים וְשֵׂ֥ה עִזִּֽים:
5gazelle, deer, and antelope, ibex, chamois, bison, and giraffe.		האַיָּ֥ל וּצְבִ֖י וְיַחְמ֑וּר וְאַקּ֥וֹ וְדִישֹׁ֖ן וּתְא֥וֹ וָזָֽמֶר:
6And every animal that has a split hoof and has a hoof cloven into two hoof sections, [and] chews the cud among the animals that you may eat.		ווְכָל־בְּהֵמָ֞ה מַפְרֶ֣סֶת פַּרְסָ֗ה וְשֹׁסַ֤עַת שֶׁ֨סַע֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י פְרָס֔וֹת מַֽעֲלַ֥ת גֵּרָ֖ה בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה אֹתָ֖הּ תֹּאכֵֽלוּ:
7But you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those that have the split hooves: the cloven one, the camel, the hyrax, and the hare, for they chew the cud, but do not have split hooves; they are unclean for you.		זאַ֣ךְ אֶת־זֶ֞ה לֹ֤א תֹֽאכְלוּ֙ מִמַּֽעֲלֵ֣י הַגֵּרָ֔ה וּמִמַּפְרִיסֵ֥י הַפַּרְסָ֖ה הַשְּׁסוּעָ֑ה אֶת־הַ֠גָּמָ֠ל וְאֶת־הָֽאַרְנֶ֨בֶת וְאֶת־הַשָּׁפָ֜ן כִּי־מַֽעֲלֵ֧ה גֵרָ֣ה הֵ֗מָּה וּפַרְסָה֙ לֹ֣א הִפְרִ֔יסוּ טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶֽם:
8And the pig, because it has a split hoof, but does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You shall neither eat of their flesh nor touch their carcass.		חוְאֶת־הַֽ֠חֲזִ֠יר כִּֽי־מַפְרִ֨יס פַּרְסָ֥ה הוּא֙ וְלֹ֣א גֵרָ֔ה טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶ֑ם מִבְּשָׂרָם֙ לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֔לוּ וּבְנִבְלָתָ֖ם לֹ֥א תִגָּֽעוּ:
9These you may eat of all that are in the waters; all that have fins and scales, you may eat.		טאֶת־זֶה֙ תֹּֽאכְל֔וּ מִכֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמָּ֑יִם כֹּ֧ל אֲשֶׁר־ל֛וֹ סְנַפִּ֥יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת תֹּאכֵֽלוּ:
10But whatever does not have fins and scales, you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.		יוְכֹ֨ל אֲשֶׁ֧ר אֵין־ל֛וֹ סְנַפִּ֥יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֑לוּ טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
11You may eat every clean bird.		יאכָּל־צִפּ֥וֹר טְהֹרָ֖ה תֹּאכֵֽלוּ:
12But these are those from which you shall not eat: The eagle [or the griffin vulture], the ossifrage, the osprey;		יבוְזֶ֕ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־תֹֽאכְל֖וּ מֵהֶ֑ם הַנֶּ֥שֶׁר וְהַפֶּ֖רֶס וְהָֽעָזְנִיָּֽה:
13and the white vulture, and the black vulture, and the kite after its species;		יגוְהָֽרָאָה֙ וְאֶת־הָ֣אַיָּ֔ה וְהַדַּיָּ֖ה לְמִינָֽהּ:
14And every raven after its species;		ידוְאֵ֥ת כָּל־עֹרֵ֖ב לְמִינֽוֹ:
15And the ostrich, and the owl, and the gull, and the hawk after its species;		טווְאֵת֙ בַּ֣ת הַיַּֽעֲנָ֔ה וְאֶת־הַתַּחְמָ֖ס וְאֶת־הַשָּׁ֑חַף וְאֶת־הַנֵּ֖ץ לְמִינֵֽהוּ:
16The falcon, and the ibis, and the bat;		טזאֶת־הַכּ֥וֹס וְאֶת־הַיַּנְשׁ֖וּף וְהַתִּנְשָֽׁמֶת:
17And the pelican, and the magpie, and the cormorant;		יזוְהַקָּאָ֥ת וְאֶת־הָֽרָחָ֖מָה וְאֶת־הַשָּׁלָֽךְ:
18And the stork, and the heron and its species, and the hoopoe, and the atalef.		יחוְהַ֣חֲסִידָ֔ה וְהָֽאֲנָפָ֖ה לְמִינָ֑הּ וְהַדּֽוּכִיפַ֖ת וְהָֽעֲטַלֵּֽף:
19And every flying insect is unclean for you; they may not be eaten.		יטוְכֹל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶ֑ם לֹ֖א יֵֽאָכֵֽלוּ:
20You may eat any clean fowl.		ככָּל־ע֥וֹף טָה֖וֹר תֹּאכֵֽלוּ:
21You shall not eat any carcass. You may give it to the stranger who is in your cities, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to the Lord, your God. You shall not cook a kid in its mother’s milk.		כאלֹא־תֹֽאכְל֣וּ כָל־נְ֠בֵלָ֠ה לַגֵּ֨ר אֲשֶׁר־בִּשְׁעָרֶ֜יךָ תִּתְּנֶ֣נָּה וַֽאֲכָלָ֗הּ א֤וֹ מָכֹר֙ לְנָכְרִ֔י כִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ לֹֽא־תְבַשֵּׁ֥ל גְּדִ֖י בַּֽחֲלֵ֥ב אִמּֽוֹ:
22You shall tithe all the seed crop that the field gives forth, year by year.		כבעַשֵּׂ֣ר תְּעַשֵּׂ֔ר אֵ֖ת כָּל־תְּבוּאַ֣ת זַרְעֶ֑ךָ הַיֹּצֵ֥א הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה שָׁנָ֥ה שָׁנָֽה:
23And you shall eat before the Lord, your God, in the place He chooses to establish His Name therein, the tithes of your grain, your wine, and your oil, and the firstborn of your cattle and of your sheep, so that you may learn to fear the Lord, your God, all the days.		כגוְאָֽכַלְתָּ֞ לִפְנֵ֣י \| יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ בַּמָּק֣וֹם אֲשֶׁר־יִבְחַר֘ לְשַׁכֵּ֣ן שְׁמ֣וֹ שָׁם֒ מַעְשַׂ֤ר דְּגָֽנְךָ֙ תִּֽירשְׁךָ֣ וְיִצְהָרֶ֔ךָ וּבְכֹרֹ֥ת בְּקָֽרְךָ֖ וְצֹאנֶ֑ךָ לְמַ֣עַן תִּלְמַ֗ד לְיִרְאָ֛ה אֶת־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים:
24And if the way be too long for you, that you are unable to carry it, for the place which the Lord, your God, will choose to establish His Name therein, is too far from you, for the Lord, your God, will bless you		כדוְכִֽי־יִרְבֶּ֨ה מִמְּךָ֜ הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ כִּ֣י לֹ֣א תוּכַל֘ שְׂאֵתוֹ֒ כִּֽי־יִרְחַ֤ק מִמְּךָ֙ הַמָּק֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִבְחַר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לָשׂ֥וּם שְׁמ֖וֹ שָׁ֑ם כִּ֥י יְבָֽרֶכְךָ֖ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ:
25Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and you shall go to the place the Lord, your God, will choose.		כהוְנָֽתַתָּ֖ה בַּכָּ֑סֶף וְצַרְתָּ֤ הַכֶּ֨סֶף֙ בְּיָ֣דְךָ֔ וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֙ אֶל־הַמָּק֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ בּֽוֹ:
26And you shall turn that money into whatever your soul desires; cattle, sheep, new wine or old wine, or whatever your soul desires, and you shall eat there before the Lord, your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.		כווְנָֽתַתָּ֣ה הַכֶּ֡סֶף בְּכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁר־תְּאַוֶּ֨ה נַפְשְׁךָ֜ בַּבָּקָ֣ר וּבַצֹּ֗אן וּבַיַּ֨יִן֙ וּבַשֵּׁכָ֔ר וּבְכֹ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר תִּשְׁאָֽלְךָ֖ נַפְשֶׁ֑ךָ וְאָכַ֣לְתָּ שָּׁ֗ם לִפְנֵי֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ וְשָֽׂמַחְתָּ֖ אַתָּ֥ה וּבֵיתֶֽךָ:
27And [as for] the Levite who is in your cities you shall not forsake him, for he has neither portion nor inheritance with you.		כזוְהַלֵּוִ֥י אֲשֶׁר־בִּשְׁעָרֶ֖יךָ לֹ֣א תַֽעַזְבֶ֑נּוּ כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין ל֛וֹ חֵ֥לֶק וְנַֽחֲלָ֖ה עִמָּֽךְ:
28At the end of three years, you shall take out all the tithe of your crop in that year and place it in your cities.		כחמִקְצֵ֣ה \| שָׁל֣שׁ שָׁנִ֗ים תּוֹצִיא֙ אֶת־כָּל־מַעְשַׂר֙ תְּבוּאָ֣תְךָ֔ בַּשָּׁנָ֖ה הַהִ֑וא וְהִנַּחְתָּ֖ בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ:
29And the Levite because he has no portion or inheritance with you and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are in your cities, will come and eat and be satisfied; so that the Lord, your God, will bless you in all the work of your hand that you will do.		כטוּבָ֣א הַלֵּוִ֡י כִּ֣י אֵין־לוֹ֩ חֵ֨לֶק וְנַֽחֲלָ֜ה עִמָּ֗ךְ וְ֠הַגֵּ֠ר וְהַיָּת֤וֹם וְהָֽאַלְמָנָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בִּשְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ וְאָֽכְל֖וּ וְשָׂבֵ֑עוּ לְמַ֤עַן יְבָֽרֶכְךָ֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ בְּכָל־מַֽעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָֽדְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּֽעֲשֶֽׂה:

DEUTERONOMIO 14

(1) Vosotros que sois hijos del Eterno, vuestro Dios. No os haréis incisiones, ni os rasuraréis entre los ojos a causa de muertos. (2) porque eres un pueblo consagrado al Eterno tu Dios y el Eterno te ha escogido para que le pertenezcas más que todos los demás pueblos que hay sobre la tierra.

(3) No comerás ninguna cosa abominable. (4) Éstos son los animales que podéis comer: cualquier vacuno, cualquier ovino y cualquier ciprino; (5)el ciervo, la gacela, el corzo, la cabra montés, el antílope, el búfalo, la gamuza. (6)o sea todo animal que tenga la pesuña decidida (partida) y que rumie. (7) Pero no comeréis los que rumian y no tengan pezuña hendida, como el camello, la liebre y el conejo. Impuros son para vosotros. (8) Tampoco comeréis los que tengan pezuñas partidas pero no rumien como el cerdo. No comeréis su carne, no tocaréis su cuerpo muerto.

(9) De lo que vive en el agua, comeréis todo lo que tiene aletas y escamas, (10) Y no comeréis lo que no tiene aletas y escamas porque para vosotros, es impuro.

(11) Comeréis toda ave pura. (12) y éstas son las que no comeréis: el águila, el quebrantahuesos, el halieto, (13) el milano, el halcón, el buitre y otras aves semejantes, (14) el cuervo y aves semejantes, (15) el avestruz, la lechuza, el cuchillo, el gavilán y aves semejantes, (16) el mochuelo, el búho, el cisne, (17) el pelicano, el somorgujo, el corvejón, (18) la cigüeña, la garza y aves semejantes, la abubilla y el murciélago. (19) También todo insecto alado será inmundo para vosotros: no lo comeréis.

(20) Pero podréis comer todo volátil puro. No podréis comer ningún cuerpo muerto naturalmente. Lo darás al forastero que reside en tus ciudades para que lo coma o lo venderás a un extranjero por cuanto tú oh Israel eres un pueblo consagrado al Eterno tu Dios. No cocerás cabrito en la leche de su madre.

(22) Reservarás el diezmo de todo lo que dé tu campo cada año. (23) Y comerás ante el Eterno tu Dios, en el lugar que Él escoja para establecer Su Nombre, el diezmo de tu trigo, de tu mosto y de tu aceite y los primerizos de tus vacadas y de tus rebaños para que aprendas a temer al Eterno, tu Dios, todos los días. (24) Y si el lugar donde el Eterno tu Dios establece Su Nombre esté demasiado lejos para que tú puedas llevar hasta allí tus diezmos, (25) los darás por dinero, que ataras en tu mano e iras con él al lugar que escoja el Eterno tu Dios. (26) Adquirriras allí con ese dinero todo lo que desee tu alma: vacas, ovejas, vino, bebidas fermentadas, todo lo que apetezca tu alma y comerás allí ante el Eterno, tu Dios, alegrándote tú y tu familia. (27) No abandonarás al levita que esté en tu ciudad pues no tiene parte en tu herencia.

(28) Al cabo de tres años, depositarás todo el diezmo de tu producción en un lugar determinado de tu ciudad, (29) Y allí vendrá el levita, el extranjero, el huérfano y la viuda que haya en la ciudad y comerán hasta saciarse, para que el Eterno tu Dios te bendiga en todas las obras de tus manos.

Vayikra – Leviticus – Chaper 11

1And the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, to say to them:		אוַיְדַבֵּ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶל־משֶׁ֥ה וְאֶל־אַֽהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹ֥ר אֲלֵהֶֽם:
2Speak to the children of Israel, saying: These are the creatures that you may eat among all the animals on earth:		בדַּבְּר֛וּ אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר זֹ֤את הַֽחַיָּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּֽאכְל֔וּ מִכָּל־הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ:
3Any animal that has a cloven hoof that is completely split into double hooves, and which brings up its cud that one you may eat.		גכֹּ֣ל \| מַפְרֶ֣סֶת פַּרְסָ֗ה וְשֹׁסַ֤עַת שֶׁ֨סַע֙ פְּרָסֹ֔ת מַֽעֲלַ֥ת גֵּרָ֖ה בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה אֹתָ֖הּ תֹּאכֵֽלוּ:
4But these you shall not eat among those that bring up the cud and those that have a cloven hoof: the camel, because it brings up its cud, but does not have a [completely] cloven hoof; it is unclean for you.		דאַ֤ךְ אֶת־זֶה֙ לֹ֣א תֹֽאכְל֔וּ מִמַּֽעֲלֵי֙ הַגֵּרָ֔ה וּמִמַּפְרִסֵ֖י הַפַּרְסָ֑ה אֶת־הַ֠גָּמָ֠ל כִּי־מַֽעֲלֵ֨ה גֵרָ֜ה ה֗וּא וּפַרְסָה֙ אֵינֶ֣נּוּ מַפְרִ֔יס טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
5And the hyrax, because it brings up its cud, but will not have a [completely] cloven hoof; it is unclean for you;		הוְאֶת־הַשָּׁפָ֗ן כִּי־מַֽעֲלֵ֤ה גֵרָה֙ ה֔וּא וּפַרְסָ֖ה לֹ֣א יַפְרִ֑יס טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
6And the hare, because it brings up its cud, but does not have a [completely] cloven hoof; it is unclean for you;		ווְאֶת־הָֽאַרְנֶ֗בֶת כִּֽי־מַֽעֲלַ֤ת גֵּרָה֙ הִ֔וא וּפַרְסָ֖ה לֹ֣א הִפְרִ֑יסָה טְמֵאָ֥ה הִ֖וא לָכֶֽם:
7And the pig, because it has a cloven hoof that is completely split, but will not regurgitate its cud; it is unclean for you.		זוְאֶת־הַֽ֠חֲזִ֠יר כִּֽי־מַפְרִ֨יס פַּרְסָ֜ה ה֗וּא וְשֹׁסַ֥ע שֶׁ֨סַע֙ פַּרְסָ֔ה וְה֖וּא גֵּרָ֣ה לֹֽא־יִגָּ֑ר טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
8You shall not eat of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.		חמִבְּשָׂרָם֙ לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֔לוּ וּבְנִבְלָתָ֖ם לֹ֣א תִגָּ֑עוּ טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶֽם:
9Among all [creatures] that are in the water, you may eat these: Any [of the creatures] in the water that has fins and scales, those you may eat, whether [it lives] in the waters, in the seas or in the rivers.		טאֶת־זֶה֙ תֹּֽאכְל֔וּ מִכֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמָּ֑יִם כֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ֩ סְנַפִּ֨יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֜שֶׂת בַּמַּ֗יִם בַּיַּמִּ֛ים וּבַנְּחָלִ֖ים אֹתָ֥ם תֹּאכֵֽלוּ:
10But any [creatures]that do not have fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, among all the creeping creatures in the water and among all living creatures that [live] in the water, are an abomination for you.		יוְכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֵין־ל֜וֹ סְנַפִּ֣יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֗שֶׂת בַּיַּמִּים֙ וּבַנְּחָלִ֔ים מִכֹּל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הַמַּ֔יִם וּמִכֹּ֛ל נֶ֥פֶשׁ הַֽחַיָּ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמָּ֑יִם שֶׁ֥קֶץ הֵ֖ם לָכֶֽם:
11And they shall be an abomination for you. You shall not eat of their flesh, and their dead bodies you shall hold in abomination.		יאוְשֶׁ֖קֶץ יִֽהְי֣וּ לָכֶ֑ם מִבְּשָׂרָם֙ לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֔לוּ וְאֶת־נִבְלָתָ֖ם תְּשַׁקֵּֽצוּ:
12Any [creature] that does not have fins and scales in the water is an abomination for you.		יבכֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽין־ל֛וֹ סְנַפִּ֥יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת בַּמָּ֑יִם שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
13And among birds, you shall hold these in abomination; they shall not be eaten; they are an abomination: The eagle [or the griffin vulture], the kite, the osprey,		יגוְאֶת־אֵ֨לֶּה֙ תְּשַׁקְּצ֣וּ מִן־הָע֔וֹף לֹ֥א יֵאָֽכְל֖וּ שֶׁ֣קֶץ הֵ֑ם אֶת־הַנֶּ֨שֶׁר֙ וְאֶת־הַפֶּ֔רֶס וְאֵ֖ת הָֽעָזְנִיָּֽה:
14the kestrel, and the vulture after its species,		ידוְאֶת־הַ֨דָּאָ֔ה וְאֶת־הָֽאַיָּ֖ה לְמִינָֽהּ:
15and the raven after its species,		טואֵ֥ת כָּל־עֹרֵ֖ב לְמִינֽוֹ:
16the ostrich, the jay, and the sparrow hawk, and the goshawk after its species;		טזוְאֵת֙ בַּ֣ת הַיַּֽעֲנָ֔ה וְאֶת־הַתַּחְמָ֖ס וְאֶת־הַשָּׁ֑חַף וְאֶת־הַנֵּ֖ץ לְמִינֵֽהוּ:
17The owl, the gull, the little owl;		יזוְאֶת־הַכּ֥וֹס וְאֶת־הַשָּׁלָ֖ךְ וְאֶת־הַיַּנְשֽׁוּף:
18The bat, the starling, the magpie;		יחוְאֶת־הַתִּנְשֶׁ֥מֶת וְאֶת־הַקָּאָ֖ת וְאֶת־הָֽרָחָֽם:
19the stork, the heron after its species; the hoopoe and the atalef [bat?];		יטוְאֵת֙ הַֽחֲסִידָ֔ה הָֽאֲנָפָ֖ה לְמִינָ֑הּ וְאֶת־הַדּֽוּכִיפַ֖ת וְאֶת־הָֽעֲטַלֵּֽף:
20Any flying insect that walks on four, is an abomination for you.		ככֹּ֚ל שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף הַֽהֹלֵ֖ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֑ע שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
21However, among all the flying insects that walk on four [legs], you may eat [from] those that have jointed [leg like] extensions above its [regular] legs, with which they hop on the ground.		כאאַ֤ךְ אֶת־זֶה֙ תֹּֽאכְל֔וּ מִכֹּל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף הַֽהֹלֵ֖ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֑ע אֲשֶׁר־ל֤וֹ (כתיב אשׁר־לא) כְרָעַ֨יִם֙ מִמַּ֣עַל לְרַגְלָ֔יו לְנַתֵּ֥ר בָּהֵ֖ן עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ:
22From this [locust] category, you may eat the following: The red locust after its species, the yellow locust after its species, the spotted gray locust after its species and the white locust after its species.		כבאֶת־אֵ֤לֶּה מֵהֶם֙ תֹּאכֵ֔לוּ אֶת־הָֽאַרְבֶּ֣ה לְמִינ֔וֹ וְאֶת־הַסָּלְעָ֖ם לְמִינֵ֑הוּ וְאֶת־הַֽחַרְגֹּ֣ל לְמִינֵ֔הוּ וְאֶת־הֶֽחָגָ֖ב לְמִינֵֽהוּ:
23But any [other] flying insect that has four legs, is an abomination for you.		כגוְכֹל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף אֲשֶׁר־ל֖וֹ אַרְבַּ֣ע רַגְלָ֑יִם שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
24And through these you will become unclean; anyone who touches their dead bodies will be unclean until evening;		כדוּלְאֵ֖לֶּה תִּטַּמָּ֑אוּ כָּל־הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב:
25And anyone who carries their carcass shall immerse his garments, and he shall be unclean until evening:		כהוְכָל־הַנֹּשֵׂ֖א מִנִּבְלָתָ֑ם יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב:
26Any animal that has a cloven hoof that is not completely split, and which does not bring up its cud, is unclean for you. Anyone who touches them shall become unclean.		כולְכָל־הַבְּהֵמָ֡ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִוא֩ מַפְרֶ֨סֶת פַּרְסָ֜ה וְשֶׁ֣סַע \| אֵינֶ֣נָּה שֹׁסַ֗עַת וְגֵרָה֙ אֵינֶ֣נָּה מַֽעֲלָ֔ה טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶ֑ם כָּל־הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בָּהֶ֖ם יִטְמָֽא:
27And among all the animals that walk on four legs, any [animal] that walks on its paws is unclean for you. Anyone who touches their carcass will be unclean until evening.		כזוְכֹ֣ל \| הוֹלֵ֣ךְ עַל־כַּפָּ֗יו בְּכָל־הַֽחַיָּה֙ הַֽהֹלֶ֣כֶת עַל־אַרְבַּ֔ע טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶ֑ם כָּל־הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב:
28And one who carries their carcass shall immerse his garments, and he will be unclean until evening. They are unclean for you.		כחוְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙ אֶת־נִבְלָתָ֔ם יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֣א עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖מָּה לָכֶֽם:
29And this is unclean for you among creeping creatures that creep on the ground: The weasel, the mouse, and the toad after its species;		כטוְזֶ֤ה לָכֶם֙ הַטָּמֵ֔א בַּשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֣ץ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ הַחֹ֥לֶד וְהָֽעַכְבָּ֖ר וְהַצָּ֥ב לְמִינֵֽהוּ:
30The hedgehog, the chameleon, the lizard, the snail, and the mole.		לוְהָֽאֲנָקָ֥ה וְהַכֹּ֖חַ וְהַלְּטָאָ֑ה וְהַחֹ֖מֶט וְהַתִּנְשָֽׁמֶת:
31These are the ones that are unclean for you, among all creeping creatures; anyone who touches them when they are dead will be unclean until evening.		לאאֵ֛לֶּה הַטְּמֵאִ֥ים לָכֶ֖ם בְּכָל־הַשָּׁ֑רֶץ כָּל־הַנֹּגֵ֧עַ בָּהֶ֛ם בְּמֹתָ֖ם יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב:
32And if any of these dead [creatures] falls upon anything, it will become unclean, whether it is any wooden vessel, garment, hide or sack, any vessel with which work is done; it shall be immersed in water, but will remain unclean until evening, and it will become clean.		לבוְכֹ֣ל אֲשֶׁר־יִפֹּ֣ל־עָלָיו֩ מֵהֶ֨ם \| בְּמֹתָ֜ם יִטְמָ֗א מִכָּל־כְּלִי־עֵץ֙ א֣וֹ בֶ֤גֶד אוֹ־עוֹר֙ א֣וֹ שָׂ֔ק כָּל־כְּלִ֕י אֲשֶׁר־יֵֽעָשֶׂ֥ה מְלָאכָ֖ה בָּהֶ֑ם בַּמַּ֧יִם יוּבָ֛א וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעֶ֖רֶב וְטָהֵֽר:
33But any earthenware vessel, into whose interior any of them falls, whatever is inside it shall become unclean, and you shall break [the vessel] itself.		לגוְכָ֨ל־כְּלִי־חֶ֔רֶשׂ אֲשֶׁר־יִפֹּ֥ל מֵהֶ֖ם אֶל־תּוֹכ֑וֹ כֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁ֧ר בְּתוֹכ֛וֹ יִטְמָ֖א וְאֹת֥וֹ תִשְׁבֹּֽרוּ:
34Of any food that is [usually] eaten, upon which water comes will become unclean, and any beverage that is [usually] drunk, which is in any vessel, shall become unclean.		לדמִכָּל־הָאֹ֜כֶל אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵֽאָכֵ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָב֥וֹא עָלָ֛יו מַ֖יִם יִטְמָ֑א וְכָל־מַשְׁקֶה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִשָּׁתֶ֔ה בְּכָל־כְּלִ֖י יִטְמָֽא:
35And anything upon which any of their carcasses of these [animals] fall, will become unclean. [Thus,] an oven or stove shall be demolished; they are unclean, and, they shall be unclean for you.		להוְכֹ֠ל אֲשֶׁר־יִפֹּ֨ל מִנִּבְלָתָ֥ם \| עָלָיו֘ יִטְמָא֒ תַּנּ֧וּר וְכִירַ֛יִם יֻתָּ֖ץ טְמֵאִ֣ים הֵ֑ם וּטְמֵאִ֖ים יִֽהְי֥וּ לָכֶֽם:
36But a spring or a cistern, a gathering of water remains clean. However, one who touches their carcass shall become unclean.		לואַ֣ךְ מַעְיָ֥ן וּב֛וֹר מִקְוֵה־מַ֖יִם יִֽהְיֶ֣ה טָה֑וֹר וְנֹגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם יִטְמָֽא:
37And if of their carcass falls upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it remains clean.		לזוְכִ֤י יִפֹּל֙ מִנִּבְלָתָ֔ם עַל־כָּל־זֶ֥רַע זֵר֖וּעַ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִזָּרֵ֑עַ טָה֖וֹר הֽוּא:
38But if water is put upon seeds, and any of their carcass falls on them, they are unclean for you.		לחוְכִ֤י יֻתַּן־מַ֨יִם֙ עַל־זֶ֔רַע וְנָפַ֥ל מִנִּבְלָתָ֖ם עָלָ֑יו טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם:
39If an animal that you [normally] eat, dies, one who touches its carcass shall be unclean until evening.		לטוְכִ֤י יָמוּת֙ מִן־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־הִ֥יא לָכֶ֖ם לְאָכְלָ֑ה הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖הּ יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב:
40And one who eats of its carcass shall immerse his garments, and he shall be unclean until evening. And one who carries its carcass shall immerse his garments, and he shall be unclean until evening.		מוְהָֽאֹכֵל֙ מִנִּבְלָתָ֔הּ יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב וְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙ אֶת־נִבְלָתָ֔הּ יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב:
41And any creeping creature that creeps on the ground is an abomination; it shall not be eaten.		מאוְכָל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֣ץ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לֹ֥א יֵֽאָכֵֽל:
42Any [creature] that goes on its belly, and any [creature] that walks on four [legs] to any [creature] that has many legs, among all creeping creatures that creep on the ground, you shall not eat, for they are an abomination.		מבכֹּל֩ הוֹלֵ֨ךְ עַל־גָּח֜וֹן וְכֹ֣ל \| הוֹלֵ֣ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֗ע עַ֚ד כָּל־מַרְבֵּ֣ה רַגְלַ֔יִם לְכָל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֣ץ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ לֹ֥א תֹֽאכְל֖וּם כִּי־שֶׁ֥קֶץ הֵֽם:
43You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping creature that creeps, and you shall not defile yourselves with them, that you should become unclean through them.		מגאַל־תְּשַׁקְּצוּ֙ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכָל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֑ץ וְלֹ֤א תִטַּמְּאוּ֙ בָּהֶ֔ם וְנִטְמֵתֶ֖ם בָּֽם:
44For I am the Lord your God, and you shall sanctify yourselves and be holy, because I am holy, and you shall not defile yourselves through any creeping creature that crawls on the ground.		מדכִּ֣י אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָה֘ אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֒ וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּם֙ וִֽהְיִיתֶ֣ם קְדשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י קָד֖וֹשׁ אָ֑נִי וְלֹ֤א תְטַמְּאוּ֙ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכָל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הָֽרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ:
45For I am the Lord Who has brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God. Thus, you shall be holy, because I am holy.		מהכִּ֣י \| אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה הַמַּֽעֲלֶ֤ה אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לִֽהְיֹ֥ת לָכֶ֖ם לֵֽאלֹהִ֑ים וִֽהְיִיתֶ֣ם קְדשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י קָד֖וֹשׁ אָֽנִי:
46This is the law regarding animals, birds, all living creatures that move in water and all creatures that creep on the ground,		מוזֹ֣את תּוֹרַ֤ת הַבְּהֵמָה֙ וְהָע֔וֹף וְכֹל֙ נֶ֣פֶשׁ הַֽחַיָּ֔ה הָֽרֹמֶ֖שֶׂת בַּמָּ֑יִם וּלְכָל־נֶ֖פֶשׁ הַשֹּׁרֶ֥צֶת עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ:
47to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.		מזלְהַבְדִּ֕יל בֵּ֥ין הַטָּמֵ֖א וּבֵ֣ין הַטָּהֹ֑ר וּבֵ֤ין הַֽחַיָּה֙ הַנֶּֽאֱכֶ֔לֶת וּבֵין֙ הַֽחַיָּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א תֵֽאָכֵֽל:

Levítico 11

(1) Y le dijo el Eterno a Moisés y a Aarón: (2) “Decidles a los hijos de Israel: estos son los animales que podréis comer ente los que hay sobre la tierra. (3) Todo el que tiene pezuñas partidas y rumian podréis comer, (4) pero no comeréis los que sólo rumian o sólo tienen pezuña partida. Por ejemplo, el camello que rumia era no tiene pezuña partida será inmundo para vosotros; (5) el conejo que rumia mas no tiene pezuñas partidas será inmundo para vosotros; (6) la liebre, que rumia y no tiene pezuña partida, e inmunda para vosotros; (7) el cerdo que tiene pezuña partida y no rumia, es inmundo para vosotros. (8) No comeréis su carne ni tocaréis sus cuerpos muertos porque son inmundos para vosotros. (9)De los animales que viven en el agua, comeréis los que tienen aletas y escamas, tanto de los mares como de los ríos y arroyos. (10) Todo ser viviente de los mares como de los ríos y arroyos. (10) Todo ser viviente de los mares, ríos y arroyos que no tengan aletas y escamas será abominable para vosotros. (11) Sus carnes y sus cuerpos muertos serán para vosotros cosa inmunda. (12) Todo lo que en el agua no tenga aletas y escamas será para vosotros abominación. (13) Y de las aves no comeréis el águila, el quebrantahueso y el halieto; (14) el milano, el buitre y otras aves de su especie; (15) el cuervo y otras aves de su especie; (17) el mochuelo, el somorgujo y le búho; (18) el cisne, el pelícano y el buitre egipcio; (19) la cigüeña, la garza y otras aves de su especie, la abubilla y el murciélago. (20) Todo volátil que anda en cuatro patas (insectos) os será detestable, (21) pero podréis comer de tales criaturas si, aparte de sus cuatro patas, tenga dos piernas largas para saltar en la tierra . (22) De esta categoría de [langosta], puede comer lo siguiente: la langosta roja después de su especie, la langosta amarilla después de su especie, la langosta gris manchada después de su especie y la langosta blanca después de su especie. (23) Los demas volátiles de cuatro patas serán para vosotros abominables. (24) Y por ellos, os tornaréis impuros; quien toque el cuerpo muerto de ellos quedará impuro hasta el atardecer. (25) Si alguien lo haga, deberá lavar sus vestiduras, no obstante lo cual quedará impuro hasta la puesta del sol. (26) Todo animal que tenga pezuñas no partidas ni rumia será para vosotros impuro y quien toque su cuerpo muerto quedará impuro. (27) Los que andan sobre las plantas de sus pies serán para vosotros inmundos, y quien toque sus cuerpos muertos quedarán impuros hasta el atardecer. (28) Quien los transporte lavará sus vestiduras y será impuro hasta el atardecer. (29) También estos animales, entre los que andan por la tierra, serán para vosotros detestables: la comadreja, el ratón y la tortuga y otros animales de su especie. (30) También el erizo, el camaleón, el lagarto, el caracol (de tierra) y el topo. (31) Son para vosotros impuros entre los animales. Quien los toque cuando estén muertos será impuro hasta el atardecer. (32) Y todo lo que caiga sobre ellos al morir será impuro. Lo será todo utensilio de madera, vestido, cuero o bolsa. Para purificarlos, se sumergirán en agua y serán puros después del atardecer. (33) Y todo utensilio de barro sobre el cual caiga alguno de esos animales quedará impuro y lo romperéis. (34) Todo alimento que sea lícito comer, sobre el cual venga agua de tales recipientes quedará impuro, y toda bebida que sea lícito beber y que esté en tales recipientes será inmunda. (35) Todo aquello sobre lo cual caiga algo de aquellos cuerpos muertos será considerado inmundo, será derribado, incluso si es horno o fogón de cocina porque es cosa detestable. (36) Y una fuente o una cisterna, por ser unión de aguas será limpia, más lo que haya tocado los cuerpos muertos de aquellos animales quedará inmundo. (37) Si algo de los cuerpos muertos caiga sobre simiente sembrada que debe cosecharse, será limpia. (38) Cuando se vierta agua sobre la simiente y caiga cuerpo muerto sobre ella, será impura. (39) Si muere un animal que sea lícito comer, quien toque el cuerpo muerto será impuro hasta el atardecer. (40) Y el que coma de su cuerpo muerto, lavará sus vestidos y permanecerá impuro hasta el atardecer. (41)Será para vosotros abominación todo reptil que se arrastra en la tierra. (42) Entre los reptiles que andan en la tierra, el que se arrastra sobre su vientre, el que anda en cuatro patas o el que tiene muchos pies serán detestables. (43) No impurificaréis vuestra alma con ningiun reptil que se arrastra, no sea que os tornéis inmundos por ellos . (44) Por cuanto Yo soy el Eterno, vuestro Dios, vosotros os santificaréis, pues Yo soy santo, por lo cual no mancharéis vuestras almas con ningun reptil que se arrastra sobre la tierra. (45)Yo soy el Eterno quien os sacó de la tierra de Egipto para ser vuestro Dios. Santo seréis vosotros porque Yo lo soy. (46) Ésa es la ley de los animales terrestres, de las aves y de los que moran en las aguas y de todo ser que se multiplica en la tierra, (47) para distinguir entre lo impuro y lo puro, y entre el animal que puede comerse y el que no puede comerse.
