Shabbat Shuva (Shabbat that falls between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (Shabbat of Returning)) for Hebrew Year 5782 begins at sundown on and ends at nightfall on .
Shabbat Shuvah (“Sabbath [of] Return” שבת שובה) refers to the Shabbat that occurs during the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Only one Shabbat can occur between these dates. This Shabbat is named after the first word of the Haftarah (Hosea 14:2-10) and literally means “Return!” It is perhaps a play on, but not to be confused with, the word Teshuvah (the word for repentance).
Vayelech in Nutshell
The Parshah of Vayelech (“and he went”) recounts the events of Moses’ last day of earthly life. “I am one hundred and twenty years oldtoday,” he says to the people, “and I can no longer go forth and come in.” He transfers the leadership to Joshua, and writes (or concludes writing) the Torah in a scroll which he entrusts to the Levites for safekeeping in the Ark of the Covenant.

R. Yoel Baal Shem was a saintly rabbi and miracle worker who led the Society of Hidden Tzaddikim (righteous men) after the passing of its leader, R. Eliyahu Baal Shem. He was succeeded by R. Adam Baal Shem, who was in turn succeeded by R. Israel Baal Shem Tov.
Ten Days of Repentance
The 10-day period beginning on Rosh Hashanah and ending on Yom Kippur is known as the “Ten Days of Repentance”; this is the period, say the sages, of which the prophet speaks when he proclaims (Isaiah 55:6) “Seek G-d when He is to be found; call on Him when He is near.” Psalm 130, Avinu Malkeinu and other special inserts and additions are included in our daily prayers during these days.

3 Take words with yourselves and return to the Lord. Say, “You shall forgive all iniquity and teach us [the] good [way], and let us render [for] bulls [the offering of] our lips.
4 Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride on horses, nor will we say any longer, our gods, to the work of our hands, for in You, by Whom the orphan is granted mercy.”
10 Who is wise and will understand these, discerning and will know them; for the ways of the Lord are straight, and the righteous shall walk in them, and the rebellious shall stumble on them.
2 Why should you weigh out money without bread and your toil without satiety? Hearken to Me and eat what is good, and your soul shall delight in fatness.
5 Behold, a nation you do not know you shall call, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, for the sake of the Lord your God and for the Holy One of Israel, for He glorified you.
7 The wicked shall give up his way, and the man of iniquity his thoughts, and he shall return to the Lord, Who shall have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.
10 For, just as the rain and the snow fall from the heavens, and it does not return there, unless it has satiated the earth and fructified it and furthered its growth, and has given seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall be My word that emanates from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, unless it has done what I desire and has made prosperous the one to whom I sent it.
12 For with joy shall you go forth, and with peace shall you be brought; the mountains and the hills shall burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap hands.
13 Instead of the briar, a cypress shall rise, and instead of the nettle, a myrtle shall rise, and it shall be for the Lord as a name, as an everlasting sign, which shall not be discontinued.”

10 El que es sabio, que comprena estas cosas. El que es prudente, que las conozca. Porque los caminos del eterno son rectos y los justos andan en ellos, pero los malvados propiedad en ellos.
ISAÍAS 55
(1) Todos los sedientos, venid por agua. Y el que no tenga dinero, que venga, compre y coma. Venid, comprad vino y leche, sin dinero y sin precio.
(2) ¿Por qué gastáis dinero para lo que no os satisface? Escúchame diligentemente y comed lo que es bueno; que se deleite vuestra alma en grosura.
(3) Inclinad vuestro oído y venid a Mí. Escuchad y vuestra alma vivirá; haré pacto eterno con vosotros, con las seguras misericordias de David.
(4) He aquí que le he puesto por testigo para los pueblos, un príncipe y comandante de los pueblos.
(5) He aquí que llamarás a una nación que no conoces y una nación que no conociste correra a ti a causa de Eterno tu Dios y por el Santo de Israel, porque Él te ha glorificado.
(6) Buscad al Eterno mientras puede ser hallado. Llamadle mientras esté cerca.
(7) Que el malvado abandone su camino y que el inicuo pierda sus pensamientos y vuelva al Eterno; Él tendrá compasión de él y nuestro Dios perdonará en abundancia.
(8) Por cuanto Mis pensamientos no son vuestros pensamientos, ni son vuestros caminos Mis caminos, dice el Eterno.
(9) Porque así como los cielos son más altos que la tierra, así son Mis caminos más altos que vuestros caminos y Mis pensamientos lo son más que vuestros pensamientos.
(10) Porque así como baja la lluvia y la nieve del cielo y no vuelven allí sino que riegan la tierra, la hacen florecer, dan semilla al sembrador y pan al que come,
(11) así sera mi palabra que sale de mi boca, la cual no volverá a mí nula sino que cumplirá lo que Yo desee y hará prosperar la cosa donde Yo la envíe.
(12) Porque saldréis con júbilo y seréis conducidos en paz. Las montañas y las colinas irrumpirán ante vosotros cantando; todos los árboles del campo batirán palmas.
(13) En vez del espino, subirá el ciprés y en vez de la zarza, subirá el arrayán. Y será para el Eterno como un recordatorio, una señal eterna que nunca será quitada.
